PURPOSE:To enable exact measurement of the size between measuring points in short time by detecting the size between a pair of measuring points by the output from a latching means thereby detecting exactly the position where a measuring element contacts with an object to be measured without changing over the moving speed of a spindle head to an inching feed condition. CONSTITUTION:An FF2 is set and a gate G4 is held open and therefore a measuring element TS touches the wall surface on the opposite side and a touch detection signal TDS is outputted from a touch detecting circuit 3. When a signal is outputted from a rise detecting circuit 62, the signal is applied to the reset terminal of an FF3 at this point of time and the FF3 is reset. Gates G1, G2 are thereby closed and the counting of the feedback pulses by a counter 60 is stopped. A latch signal is outputted from a one-shot circuit upon lapse of specified time thereafter and the count value of the counter 60 is latched in a latching circuit 61. The cumulative value of the feedback pulses corresponding to the extent of the relative movement of the element TS since the element TS leaves the one wall surface of the hole to the measured until the element touches the wall surface on the opposite side is outputted from the circuit 61. |
