<p>The temperature of material during annealing is controlled so as to be substantially constant. The material is placed between a heater 1 and a sensor coil 2 which responds to magnetic flux. When the temperature of the material reaches the Curie point of the material this is detected by the coil 2 and a control unit 3 then alternately energises and de-energises the heater to maintain the temperature. In one arrangement the heater is de-energised when the sensor output is 11 DIVIDED 2 times the predetermined amount and energised when the output is 11 DIVIDED 4 times the predetermined amount. <IMAGE></p> |
