PURPOSE:To obtain a white balance device that does not cause discontinuity of counter output by inverting a control signal of up and down of a counter when carry of the counter is outputted and thereby preventing stoppage of counter action. CONSTITUTION:A signal made by inverting carry of the counter 4 and output of a clock generating circuit 7 for the counter is latched by D flip flop 12 and the output is inputted to a switching circuit 11. As for circuit 11, when carry is not generated, output of a comparator 3 is inputted to an up and down control ternimal of the counter 4. When carry is generated, a signal that passed an inversion circuit 10 is selected out of output of the comparator 3, and an inversion signal is inputted to the up and down controlling terminal of the counter 4. That is, when carry is generated, the counter 4 is changed to an up counter and when the carry is gone, becomes a down counter. Accordingly, stoppage of the action of the counter does not occur. |
