PURPOSE:To perform efficiently call pickup by retrieving the number of an extension subscriber having an unresponding incoming call to connect a calling trunk and the responding extension subscriber if a call pickup request signal and a call pickup signal are detected. CONSTITUTION:When a subscriber A dials, it is identified whether the signal is the call pickup request signal or not by an originating register ORT; and if it is the call pickup request signal, the originating register ORT receives a following dialed call pickup group number and sends received information to a central controller CC. The controller CC retrieves a subscriber's number of a subscriber B having an unresponding incoming call in a group designated by the subscriber A, and the subscriber B is connected to the calling trunk and the subscriber A, and thus, the subscriber A can perform call pickup of the unresponding incoming call of the subscriber B. |
