PURPOSE:To improve operatability in an engine ever so better, by judging the frequency of starting and stopping in a car on the basis of an engine automatic starting-stopping discrimination signal out of a brake and so on, while making a device perform the control of automatic starting and stopping in the engine in an automated manner when the frequency comes so high. CONSTITUTION:During car driving, when stopping and starting, for example, like in time of a traffic jam are repeated again and again, a signal based on brake operating frequency out of an integration circuit 26 inputting a brake signal out of a brake 25 is outputted to a controller 24. And, when the brake operating frequency comes up beyond the preset specified value at the controller 24, automatic control operation in both of a starter circuit 33 and an iginition circuit 34 gets started. That is to say, an engine is controlled for automatic starting and stopping by means of automatic starting-stopping discrimination signals detected by a car speed sensor 27, an engine speed sensor 28, a hydraulic pressure sensor 29, a dynamo sensor 30, an electric load sensor 31 and a water temperature sensor 32. |
