PURPOSE:To improve the laser light generating efficiency by controlling the timing of the supplying time of the exciting power supplied to a plurality of exciting power accumulator. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of exciting power accumulators for supplying exciting powers for photoexciting a discharge tube 2 are provided. The timing of starting supplying exciting power supplied from the accumulators to the tube 2 is controlled in the preset time sequence by an exciting power supply controller 7 having a timing controller 71 and a trigger pulse generator 72, thereby increasing the holding time of the optimum discharging current density of the tube 2. |
