PURPOSE:To measure the cambers of a carrier coil in on-line manner continuously, by detecting the edges in the direction of the width of the carrier coil by two edge sensors, performing subtracting process of the detected value, without fluctuation in carrying position in the direction of the width. CONSTITUTION:The positions of the edges from a reference position of a carrier coil 10 are detected by two edge sensors 12 and 14. The detected values are processed by a subtracting circuit 26 of an operating machine 16. Thus the camber data of the coil 10 are determined witout the effect of the fluctuation in carrying position in the direction of the width of the coil 10. The data are sequentially added by an adding circuit 36, and the cambers of the coil 10 are continuously outputted. Thus the cambers of the carrier coil are continuously measured in on-line manner, without the effect of the fluctuation in carrying position in the direction of the width. |
