PURPOSE:To reduce a pumping loss as well as to improve a rate of fuel consumption ever so better, by installing a rotary valve, controlling a state of interconnection between a passage at the intake side and a pumping chamber, in position on the same axis as in a main shaft of a rotary pump driven by an engine as a supercharge. CONSTITUTION:A pump 2 being driven by an internal-combustion engine and provided with an intake side passage 7 and a discharge side passage 15 is formed into a rotary type inclusive of a rotary housing 4 made up of a two- knuckle peritrochoidal surface and a rotor 3 being eccentrically rotated inside the said housing. A rotary valve 11 is connected to a pump main shaft 16 via each of helical splines 17, 18 and a sleeve 19. And, in time of engine racing as a throttle valve 8 is fully closed, an interconnecting part 12 of the rotary valve 11 interconnects a connecting part 10 to the extent of a point midway in a stroke ranging from a minimun state to a maximum state of the capacity of a pumping chamber 6 whereby air charging is made to flow into the inside of the pumping chamber 6 by way of intake side passages 7 and 9. Afterward, the charging air is discharged to the discharge side passage 15 with a reed valve 14 opened. |
