PURPOSE:To improve reliability on engine performance, by making a timer function maintainable with action of centrifugal force at a time when hydraulic pressure fails to go to a piston in a fuel injection timing regulating device (a hydraulic timer) due to something trouble in a hydraulic circuit. CONSTITUTION:A driven shaft 4 or a cam shaft of a fuel pump is rotated by a turning drive member 1 interlocking an engine, and when hydraulic fluid being regulated rather high so far according to a state of engine driving is fed to an oil passage 38, a piston 21 is displaced toward the outside. With this displacement of this piston 21, an arm 25 is shifted to the outer diametrical direction against a spring via a pin 23, while both large and small eccentric discs 14 and 12 are rotated via an eccentric pin 28, and a driven flange 10 is made to advance relatively to a regulating plate 16, thus injection timing is controlled for spark advance. At this time, even if the feed of hydraulic fluid comes to nothing due to something trouble in a hydraulic circuit, the arm 25 shifts toward the outer diametrical direction by dint of centrifugal force along an escape groove 29 whereby the same spark advance control takes place. |
