The anti-radiation device for protecting the human eye against radiation, occurring during welding for example, with strong fluctuations in intensity has a filter which is supported by a planar or curved protective and/or supportive layer of glass or of a transparent plastic. The filter consists of an optical bandpass filter which is practically transparent for at least a narrow waveband inside the spectrum of the incident radiation, and of a light-sensitive substrate whose transparency decreases with increasing irradiation. These components are tuned with respect to one another such that the total intensity of the radiation allowed through by the device always remains below the value damaging to the eye. |
