PURPOSE:To enable easy adjustment of the thickening degree of sludge water and to improve treating efficiency by pouring the sludge water onto a filter cloth belt traveled by rollers and subjecting the sludge water to the adjusted pressurization by a pressurizing member with which the pressurizing force can be adjusted. CONSTITUTION:Sludge water 6 in which a flocculating agent is incorporated is introduced via a conduit 15 into a block forming tank 5 where the sludge water is agitated. The sludge water 6 is then fed into a filter cloth belt 4 traveling between rollers 2 and 3, and a part of the water is removed in the direction B. Pressure is then exerted via a flexible sheet 21 to the water 6 by a pressurizing member 20 to squeeze out forcibly the excess water in the sludge water 6. The pressure to be exerted to the sludge water 6 via the sheet 21 by the member 20 is adjusted by regulating the position of a counter weight 26 with respect to a bar 25 in this stage, by which the thickening degree of the water 6 is adjusted. |
