PURPOSE:To manufacture easily a caulking metallic fitting generating no hit mark on a cap by putting the cap on a cone-shaped flange part formed on a metallic fitting main body, deforming its circumferential wall part, and holding and fixing the flange part in a horizontal state. CONSTITUTION:A metallic fitting main body A having a cone-shaped flange part 2 provided with annular ribs 5, projecting parts 6, louvering parts, 7, etc. is formed on a base end part 3 of a caulking part 1. Subsequently, a cap B consisting of a plate part 10 and a circumferential wall part 11 provided with a notched part 12 is put on the flange part 2 of the metallic fitting main body A from the opposite side of said caulking part 1, the end part of the circumferential wall part 11 of the cap B is deformed to the center side by a press, etc., caulked and fixed to the outside circumferential edge part of the flange part 2, and caulking metallic fittings are obtained. As a result, a residual stress of the flange part 2 deformed to a roughly horizontal state operates as an elastic force on said base end part 3, an impact force in case of caulking the caulking metallic fittings to a button main body is absorbed by this elastic force, and no hit mark is generated on the cap B. |
