<p>PURPOSE:To maintain the top end of sheets of paper contained in a paper feeding tray at a certain height enabling stable paper feeding by making an optical sensor operate or shut off in accordance with the swinging motion of a sensor lever, to control the elevating means of a paper feeding tray. CONSTITUTION:A paper feeding tray 1 elevatably provided in a frame 10 is raised and lowered through an elevating means 8, 9, while a paper feeding shaft 4 which is rotated by a paper feeding motor 14 is rotatably supported in the frame 10. Each of a pair of roller supporting boards 16 are supported by the shaft 4 on one end, while supporting a roller shaft 18 on the other end and also a paper-feeding roller shaft 22, on which paper-feeding rollers 3 are fixed, between the shafts 4 and 18. A transmisson means 12, 15 are provided between the shafts 4 and 18, and a sensor lever 19, one end of which is engaged with the shaft 18 when it is lowered, is rotatably supported by the frame 10. And, an optical sensor 20 is operated or shut off in accordance with the swinging motion of the lever 19, to control the elevating means.</p> |
