PURPOSE:To control the shape of a strip on the outlet side and to improve the quality of the strip by controlling the shape of work rolls by bending in the stage of different-speed wrap rolling. CONSTITUTION:The strip 3 is wrapped to an S shape around a pair of the work rolls 1, 2 rotating at different circumferential speeds. Inside bearings 6, 7 and outside bearings 8, 9 are provided to both ends of the shafts 4, 5 of the rolls 1, 2 and screw down devices 10, 11 are provided on the upper side of the bearings 6. Screw down cylinders 12, 13 are provided on the lower side of the bearings 7 and bending cylinders 14, 15 are provided between the bearings 8 and 9. Bending force is acted on the rolls 1, 2 by the cylinders 14, 15 and the roll shape is controlled as shown by dotted lines in such different speed wrap rolling device, by which the shape of the strip 3 is controlled. |
