PURPOSE:To prevent file information from being destroyed by providing a floppy disk, a main memory device, and a control means. CONSTITUTION:When the declaration of the use of a file is reported, a control program reads the internal volume ID5 and file control information 4 of the floppy disk in the main memory device. Then the control program 3 updates the file control information in the main memory device 1 at every time data is outputted to the floppy disk 2. When the declaration of the end of the use of the file is reported, the control program reads the volume ID5 out of the floppy disk 2 and collates it with a volume ID6 stored in the main memory device 1, thereby writing the file control information 7 in the main memory device 1 to the floppy disk 2 when the volume IDs 5 and 6 coincide with each other. When the volume IDs 5 and 6 do not coincide with each other, the file control information is not written on the floppy disk 2 and a request to set a proper disk 2 is made. |
