PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of a sealing agent in a lithium cell and prevent the pollution of the cell due to the sealing agent by coating the lower side at a predetermined distance below the tip of the case opening on the inner periphery of the rise section of a metal case with the sealing agent. CONSTITUTION:The lower side at a length 20-40% of the case height below the tip of the case opening on the inner periphery of the rise section of a metal case concurrently serving as a positive electrode terminal is coated with a sealing agent. Accordingly, no sealing agent exists inside the tip of the case opening, thereby the leakage of the sealing agent outside a cell due to an increase of the inner pressure of the cell can be excellently prevented, and the lithium cell stable in quality can be assured. |
