The invention relates to electrical engineering. The regulation device forming the subject of the invention is of the type comprising fixed contact terminals forming, in one plane, a curved contact track 3, and a movable contact element in the form of a small wheel 4 which is elastically applied against the said track so as to be in contact with the latter around its entire generatrix, this small wheel being held by a driving finger 7 which is mounted on a pivot pin 8 so as to be able to move the said small wheel along the said contact track, characterised in that the small wheel 4 has the form of a truncated cone whose apex 11 is oriented towards the geometrical centre of the curved contact track 3. The device, in operation, can be used especially in autotransformers for regulating an electrical voltage with the circuit disconnected. <IMAGE>
