PURPOSE:To obtain a microencapsulated insulating nonmagnetic toner sufficient in image density by incorporating a colorant in both of a core material and a shell material. CONSTITUTION:The circumference of a soft core material contg. 5-15wt% colorant is covered with a 0.1-0.3mum thick hard shell material contg. a colorant in a similar amt. to form a microencapsulated toner having particle diameters of 3-20mum, preferably, 5-10mum. A suitable material to be used for said soft material is ready to be entangled with the fibers of plain paper with a linear pressure of about 2.0kg/cm, such as PE, PP, or ethylene-acrylic copolymer, and a suitable material usable for said hard material is polystyrene, polyvinyltoluene, styrene-butadiene copolymer, etc. This toner is used for developing by applying an alternating magnetic field when it is conveyed on a toner carrying body to a position opposite to a latent image bearing body. |
