PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a device, and also to handle it easily by detecting separately a dosage by which gamma-rays radiated from a gamma ray source of the same nuclide have transmitted through a fluid flowing in plural flow passages, and calculating its ratio. CONSTITUTION:Gamma-ray sources S1, S2 of the same nuclide are installed to a sludge feed pipe 1 and a sludge discharge pipe 2, respectively, and an output pulse of detectors 31, 41 is counted by counting devices 32, 42. A timer 7 resets simultaneously the counting devices 32, 42 at every prescribed time, and controls the count time to the same. Subsequently, count number I1, I2 of both the counting devices 32, 42 are inputted to a divider 8, its ratio is calculated, and the converter 9 converts the ratio I1/I2 to an average density difference value of both sludge waters which have flowed in one detection time. In this way, a radioactivity attenuating and correcting timer device becomes unnecessary, and also the timer starts and stops simultaneously two counting devices, therefore, the constitution of a device is simplified, and it can be handled easily. |
