PURPOSE:To hold any work of heavy weight and/or curved shape, etc. in such a way as to allow its longitudinal and lateral shift together with vertical movement by swinging a movable plate and a holding plate according to the shape of the work and making the holding plate to follow the work moving in both longitudinal and lateral directions. CONSTITUTION:A central shaft 21 is engaged with a piston rod 20a of a hydrauric cylinder 20 fixed on a frame stand 3. A movable plate 22 is swingably fixed through a spherical seat 21a placed at the top end of the shaft 21 and three steel balls 24 are held rotatably on a plate 22. On the balls 24, strip holding plate 25 is placed. From the plate 25, a support 26 hangs down. Owing to springs 29, 30 and three steel balls, the plate 25 is constantly kept at the central position. When the work 4 is placed on the plate 25, members above the plate 22 follow the shape of the work 4 to swing and shifted in both longitudinal and lateral the directions. Consequently, the work follows the movement of the members above, going up and down. |
