PURPOSE:To display a color picture in an excellent way even with noise such as a mesh point by applying larger averaging processing so as to provide a signal with an S/N being a prescribed value or over when the mesh point noise is superimposed on the signal. CONSTITUTION:The image of an original is formed to an image pickup element comprising four spatial split type CCD line sensors 3 by using an SELFOC lens and a signal is photoelectric transduced in a color printer 29. A signal after coordinate transformation outputted from product sum operating circuits 16, 16' and 16'' is inputted to averaging processing circuits 18, 18' and 18''. In a luminance signal, an averaged signal and an original signal are subtracted together by a subtractor 19. As a result, the resulting signal provides the local fluctuation of the luminance signal. Further, this signal is inputted to a memory 20 for discriminating a binary/dither processing. On the other hand, said difference signal and the averaged signal are inputted to a multiplexer 21, a proper coefficient to both signals is set to a memory 23, to feed to a product sum operatng circuit 22 and both signals are mixed. Thus, a proper signal without much fog is attained. |
