PURPOSE:To facilitate schedule control of machine for wire cutting a workpiece along a contour outline by providing a system for automatically indicating a remaining length of cut to be executed before normal finish of the cutting. CONSTITUTION:An adder 32 is a counter for accumulating the number of actuation or the number of steps in the forward and reverse directions of pulse motors 15 and 16 rotated while wire cutting is normally proceeded. Then, a step number N setting device 33 is connected to a ratio arithmetic circuit 34, and the adder 32 may be so constructed as to generate an output pulse when it receives as input, for example, NX10<3> pulses, and in this case, the circuit 34 can be simplified. A multiplier circuit 35 generates an analog output proportional to the value obtained by multiplication of the two inputs, and the indication of an indicator 34 shows a remaining length of cut to be executed. Thus, the apparatus is easy in view of schedule control. |
