PURPOSE:To enable the combination of a weighing instrument and a scanner while miniaturizing the construction by making at least a part of a weighing pan transmittable so as to provide the optical path of the scanner piece in the weighing pan. CONSTITUTION:A load cell 2 is provided at the center of the bottom 1 having a side wall 1a, a pan receiving plate 3, a receiving support 4 and a weighing pan 5 are arranged on the top of the cell 2 and a transparent window 6 made of hard glass transparent material is provided at the center of the weighing pan 5. A scanner 8 is provided at a clearance between the weighing pan 5 and the pan receiving plate 3 in a non-contact manner and irradiates light beam upward from the top center thereof, receiving the reflected light thereof. Then, as a bar code symbol passes by the upper center thereof, the scanner 8 outputs a corresponding digital signal. In addition, a transparent window 6 is provided on the optical path, as the position of the irradiation light of the scanner and the reflected light pass. |
