Coil tipping installation

The coil tipping installation is intended to tip coils up to 30 t in weight, especially rolls of thin sheet metal of different diameter and height through 90 DEG without jerks during transfer to and acceptance from a transport vehicle, and to guarantee a relatively favourable supporting position in the middle of the frame in both operating positions, using a fixedly mounted tipping frame and a stationary bracing frame connected to the latter via articulations and tipping cylinders. By using a floating table top (9) which is mountable so as to be movable on roller castors (7, 8), is secured against lifting and can be moved by a hydraulic cylinder (10), the coil (1) resting on the table top (9) is centred in relation to the tipping frame (5).
