The anatomical cushion for the prevention of cervical osteoarthritis comprises a body which retains its essentially parallelepipedal shape with rounded edges. A swelling oriented in the direction of the longitudinal axis is provided on the upper outer surface and this is more prominent in its middle region than on its ends. The swelling in the middle region has a profile which corresponds to the rear neck line of a person standing upright. <IMAGE>
