Method for storing tabular values

A method for storing values of tables and performance data is proposed in which the use of memory locations is optimised. Starting from below, the first step to this end is to occupy all the locations of a word of a first memory and then in a second memory to call on only as many locations of a second word as are absolutely necessary because of the information content. The remaining locations of the second word are available for the supernumerary digits of the following values. Such a method is suitable, in particular, for application in the on-board electronics of motor vehicles. <IMAGE>
