In a lapping (winding) tape for the insulation of high-voltage machines which comprises porous support material, mica and a binder and which can be impregnated with liquid epoxy resin curing system and in which the binder acts as a curing accelerator for the impregnation resin, the binder for the lapping tape comprises a) a product of the reaction of polyepoxide compounds with secondary alkylolamines in combination with b) at least one cycloaliphatic epoxy resin.
