PURPOSE:To ensure the smooth and easy engagement between a housing base and a bearing housing for a magnetic disk assembly by having a simple constitution where a drum shape is given to the outer diameter of the bearing housing which has a contact with a fitting hole of the housing base. CONSTITUTION:A drum-shaped large outer diameter part of a bearing housing 10 has a contact with the fitting hole part of an upper housing base 3. Then the housing 10 is positioned in its axial direction by means of an alignment plate 14 which is fixed to the base 3. Thus the outer diameter of the housing 10 which is fitted to the inner diameter of the housing 3 has a drum shape. This secures the smooth and easy engagement between the base 3 and the housing 10 and furthermore attains the simple production of a magnetic disk assembly. |
