Safety seat for vehicles

A safety seat of this kind consists of a metal frame which can be attached to the vehicle and is covered with an elastic upholstery and of a restraining belt device. In order to give the seat a lightweight design, the seat frame consists of lightweight metal profile material and has essentially two side members which extend over the seat faces and at least over the backrest area and has transverse struts which connect the side members to one another. The seat frame is provided with a lightweight foam padding. Furthermore, the attachment arrangements for attaching the seat to the vehicle have connecting elements which can be plastically deformed in a predetermined fashion. The restraining belt device is arranged on the seat in such a way that a portion of the force induced in the belt device is lead away via the deformable connecting elements and can be partially destroyed there.
