Emission-free fuel-dispenser valve for refuelling operations

To avoid the hydrocarbon emissions which occur in the hitherto customary manner of refuelling motor vehicles - which amount to about 33000 t of fuel per year in the Federal Republic of Germany - a refuelling system has been developed which, in addition to solving the problems of environmental pollution and saving energy, also solves the problem of fuel theft and, by speeding up refuelling operations, leads to time savings which can be exploited by petrol stations to enhance their development as supply and disposal stations and communications stations. This is achieved by the construction of an emission-free fuel-dispenser valve which is characterised by a flexible seal for the internal seal in the filler neck, incorporation of supply and disposal lines into one hose and integration of all the operating and indicating elements into the fuel-dispenser valve.
