The machine is provided for connection to the three-point lifting device of a tractor and is equipped with a device for connecting a following mounted machine, for example a seed drill. The mounting device is movable and is so designed that the mounted machine is moved forwards into a transport position during the change-over of the machine combination, so that the centre of gravity of the combination is displaced, without any appreciable change in height, in the direction of the tractor to which the leading machine is connected. For this purpose, the mounting device contains articulated linkages which are pivoted under the weight of machine parts, for example a follow-up roller, or are also loaded by springs. An actuating cylinder can also be provided for generating or assisting the movement of the articulated linkages.
