PURPOSE:To produce advantageously an inexpensive non-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet having an excellent magnetic characteristic by subjecting a hot- rolled steel sheet consisting of specifically composed C, Si, Mn, Al, S, Sb and Fe to annealing and cold rolling under adequate conditions. CONSTITUTION:A hot-rolled steel sheet contg. 0.02wt% C, Tr -0.6% Si, 0.1- 1.0% Mn, <=1.0% Al, <=0.01% S and 0.01-0.03% Sb and consisting of the balance substantially Fe is subjected to box annealing for 0.5-20hr at 750-900 deg.C to effect adequate grain growth in the hot-rolled sheet. The steel sheet is thereafter subjected to secondary cold rolling in a 5-20% draft range in the stage of working said sheet to a finish thickness by two times cold rolling including intermediate annealing. The sheet is then subjected to finish annealing preferably in an about 750-950 deg.C range by which the non-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet having a high magnetic flux density, low iron loss and excellent magnetic characteristic is obtd. |
