PURPOSE:To obtain a converter having the capacity for comparing digital value without providing an operation processing circuit externally for comparing a converted digitial value with an expected digital value by providing a digital comparator circuit and a data register. CONSTITUTION:An A/D converting circuit 10 of an A/D converter 1 converts an input signal into a digital value and a data register 12 stores the result of conversion. On the other hand, the expected digital value from a general-purpose data terminal 13 is stored in an input/output data register 50 and transferred further to a data register 22. Then a digital comparator circuit 20 compares contents A and B of both registers, the result of comparison is transferred to a data latch 23 and stored until the comparator circuit 20 outputs the result of comparison next. The result of latch is outputted normally from exclusive output terminals 231-233 and also transferred to the register 50 by inputting a control signal to a terminal 33 as required and outputted in an optional timing from the terminal 13. Further, the content of the registers 12, 22 is processed similarly. |
