PURPOSE:To provide a resin compsn. which has excellent wear resistance and lubricating properties and is suitable for use in the production of oilless bearing, by incorporating a carbon fiber in a compsn. consisting of an arom. polysulfone and a fluorocarbon. CONSTITUTION:A resin compsn. is obtd. by blending 2.5-60wt% fluorocarbon polymer such as polytetrafluoroethylene with 95-30wt% arom. polysulfone such as a polymer contg. a repeating unit of the formula, and further incorporating 2.5-60wt% carbon fiber in the resulting compsn. By incorporating the fluorocarbon in the arom. polysulfone, self-lubricating properties can be imparted and the compsn. can be used in the field of sliding materials. However, sliding characteristics are yet insufficient when the compsn. is ussed as a material for oilless bearing. By incorporating the carbon fiber, wear coefficient K is lowered and strength, elastic modulus and coefficient of friction are improved so that the compsn. can be used as a material for oilless bearing. |
