The controller is provided for a magnetic head, especially for a magnetic valve, and has a housing between the magnetic head and an apparatus plug socket, which housing contains a fitted printed-circuit board and plug sockets for holding flat plugs on the magnetic-head side, and has contact pins for the apparatus plug socket. The printed-circuit board is provided with a perforation for the flat plug to pass through. The plug socket and a control unit which is designed as a hybrid-circuit component are arranged on the component side of the printed-circuit board, facing away from the magnetic head.
