TROLLEY WIRE WEAR MEASURING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To enable the titled apparatus mountable on a handy truck by providing a moving element having a projecting section and a light receiving section as opposed to each other and extremely proximate to each other sandwiching a trolley wire to measure wear of the trolley wire with a small and light weight measuring section. CONSTITUTION:A moving element 30 is provided slidably at the upper part of a lifting leg 38a of an trolley wire detecting/measuring truck 38 along a rod 28 insulated from the truck 38 with an insulator 27. The moving element 30 houses a wear measuring section 20 having a projector section 20a and a light receiving section 20b as opposed sandwiching a trolley wire 7. Light of a light emitting diode in the projector section 20a is irradiated on the trolley wire 7 and then, the remaining diameter is measured through a light receiving lens, a line sensor and a signal processing circuit to calculate the wear. This allows the light source with limited power and thus, makes the measuring section 20 so small and light to be mountable on a handy truck 38 movable at a small radius.
