Device for stabilising the joint which, in an articulated vehicle, connects a front and a rear vehicle part and which has a piston cylinder device which can be acted on by counter-pressure and is arranged between two points of the two vehicle parts whose mutual spacing is dependent on the joint angle. A simple design and large degree of operational reliability are achieved in that the piston cylinder device engages on the one hand on a vehicle part and on the other hand engages tangentially to the joint on a part which is near to the joint and is connected to the other vehicle part.
