Process and equipment for producing a porous material from a ceramic or anhydritic mass

A ceramic or anhydritic raw material is processed to give a plasticised mass and mixed with a pore former, whereupon the mass is foamed up, extruded and dried. The foamed dried mass is burnt, if necessary. The process allows the processing of even humus-containing raw materials to give a light-weight building material. <IMAGE>
