PURPOSE:A safe antiseptic and mildewproofing agent control ling various kinds of mildews breeding in home environment, obtained by blending 2-(4-thiazolyl) benzimidazole with a di(aminoethyl)glycine hydrochloride derivative. CONSTITUTION:An antiseptic and mildewproofing agent obtained by blending 2- (4-thiazolyl)benzimidazole with one or more of di(aminoethyl)glycine hydrochloride derivatives (carbon chain length is preferably 12-14) shown by the formula (R is 10-16C alkyl) in a molar ratio of (1/10)-(10/1). The combination raises midewproofing action on each mildew synergistically, the antiseptic and mildewproofing agent enlarges mildewproofing spectrum, shows strong effect on each of various kinds of mildews, and has low toxicity. |
