Aliphatic olefin polymers are foamed by low-pressure exteusion of the thermoplastic mixture prepared from olefin polymer, volatile organic foaming agent, and 0.1-10 wt.% of compd.(I) having the formula A-NH- B-NH-A' under increased temp. and pressure conditions, where A and A' = - or -naphthyl gp.; and B = P- or m-phenylene gp. P,P'- diphenylene gp., or m,m'-diphenylene gp. Typical examples of (I) are N,N'-di- -naphthyl-paraphenylene diamine, N,N'-di- -naphthyl- parasiphenylene diamine, etc.
