The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for image stabilization of an electro-optical system, for example a sight, a camera or the like, which is subjected to vibrations or other undesirable movements and in which the optical image information is converted into electrical signals, for example a TV or IR system, and is stored in a memory 9. The vibration spectrum of the system is sensed by means of one or more sensors 1 which generate electrical signals which represent how much the image is to be translated vertically and/or laterally in order to compensate the vibration movements to which the system is subjected. The signals are supplied to a digital processor 10 which is arranged so as to transfer the stored information from said memory 9 to a second memory 11. The image digitally stored in the first memory 9 will then be translated vertically and/or laterally corresponding to the instantaneous vibration aberration. <IMAGE> |
