The mountable maize chopper illustrated is connected to the three-point suspension of a tractor 6 via a two-part supporting frame 2, 3 receiving the driving members 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 for transmitting the power from the tractor take-off shaft 7 to the chopping machine. For a change-over of the machine from a first position (represented by unbroken lines in Figure 1) into a second working position with an opposite working direction (position represented by broken lines), the supporting-frame part 3 connected to the chopper can be pivoted through 180 DEG in the horizontal plane about a vertical axis 21 on the other supporting-frame part 2 and fixed. Provided on the supporting-frame part 2 are two claw-coupling halves 17, 17' which project at a horizontal spacing and on opposite sides of the supporting-frame part 2 and which can be brought into engagement with a complementary claw-coupling half 20 of the outer supporting-frame part 3 as a result of the pivoting of the outer supporting-frame part 3 about the axis 21 which is arranged centrally between the two claw-coupling halves 17 and 17'. The working position of the mountable maize chopper represented by broken lines is very advantageous for the cutting of a field of maize. …<??>This mounted position is also used for transporting the machine by road. …<IMAGE>… |
