PURPOSE:To give an alarm when battery capacity or liquid surface level reaches a specified limit by measuring specific resistance of electrolyte and making temperature correction and electrically detecting and at the same time by detecting liquid surface level. CONSTITUTION: A specific resistance detecting pare 3 is formed in such a way that platinum electrodes 7 and 8 covered with resin are arraged in electrolyte 2, electrode 7 is grounded, and voltage is applied to the electrode 8 through a resistor 9 and partial voltage is taken out. Specific gravity Vp from a specific gravity detecting part 3 and liquid temperature voltage Vt from a thermistor 4 are read with an arithmetic logical controller 5, and specific gravity voltage Vpc corrected to standard temperature is calculated. The Vpc is checked whether it is in the range of specified values Vp1 and Vp2. If it is not, an alarm signal is outputted. When electrodes 7 and 8 in the specific gravity detecting part 3 are set to a liquid level limit Hmin, if electrodes 7 and 8 are exposed by decrease of liquid level, an alarm signal is outputted from the arithmetic logical controller 5. |
