PURPOSE:A composition useful as a detergent such as shampoo, etc. or a hair cosmetic such as hair rinse, etc., having improved pearly luster and improved dispersion stability, containing a surface active agent, a fatty acid glycol diester, a propylene glycol condensate, and water. CONSTITUTION:A composition having pearly luster consisting of (A) 0.5-35wt% surface active agent (e.g., POE alkyl ether carboxylate), (B) 0.2-5.0wt% fatty acid glycol diester shown by the formula (R, and R' are 13-21C alkyl; n is 1, 2, or 3), (C) 0.5-20wt% propylene glycol condensate, and (D) 25-97wt% water. The addition of the propylene glycol condensate provides crystal of fatty acid glycol diester having uniform particle diameter, plain surface, and a flat particle shape. Consequently, the composition having beautiful pearly luster which heretofore has never been found can be obtained. |
