PURPOSE:To eliminate a surface flaw caused by friction between strips and to reduce the time of winding up the strip by a mandrel by winding up the strip while supplying a lubricant to its surface. CONSTITUTION:The front end of a strip passes through a photoelectric detector 8', and the timing when it passes successively the position of a nozzle 10 is estimated by a rotary detector 7. Next, a valve 11 for supplying a lubricant and a valve 11' of a carrier 12 for spraying it on the surface of strip are opened. In the same way, the rear end of strip is detected by a photoelectric detector 8, and tracking is performed by the detector 7 to spray variably the lubricant on the strip in a range from its rear end to a fixed length. |
