PURPOSE:To make effective use of excited light and to enable analysis and measurement of a slight amt. of a sample with good accuracy by connecting an optical fiber of which the end face penetrates through the wall of a vessel and contacts with the sample to be inspected to a light source and connecting the 2nd optical fiber contacting with said sample to a detecting means. CONSTITUTION:The forward ends of an optical fiber 6 and an optical fiber 7 penetrate respectively through the wall of a sample vessel and the end faces of the optical fibers are so formed as to contact directly with a liquid sample. A measuring sample is fed into a sample liquid inlet 2 from the column of a liquid chromatography subjected to a pretreatment. The light from a laser light source 4 is condensed with a condenser lens 5 and is projected to the sample liquid. The fluorescence is fed to a means for measuring fluorescence by the fiber 7 for measuring fluorescence and is subjected to the necessary measurement. The fluorescence is also fed from the fiber 8 for monitoring to a detector, by which the fluorescence is detected at an exact timing and the quantity of the excited light is measured. |
