<p>Apparatus for delivering metered quantities of fuel, comprising a fuel chamber and a gas chamber formed in a rigid body, fuel inlet and outlet ports in the fuel chamber and a fuel discharge port, a rigid member slidably supported in the body and having a gas passage therethrough communicating the fuel and gas chambers, a valve in said passage openable in response to a predetermined pressure in the gas chamber to admit the discharge port, the extent of projection of the rigid member into the fuel chamber being adjustable to vary the quantity of fuel displaceable therefrom by the gas, the rigid member extends through a further chamber interposed between the fuel and gas chambers to collect leakage from said fuel and gas chambers.</p> |
