1505384 Buckles K MASUDA 16 Oct 1975 [10 Sept 1975] 42430/75 Heading E2B A buckle comprises a body 1 of channel shape with the ends 16 of opposed sides la bent towards each other,- a fastening element 2 mounted on a pivot 2b between the opposed sides la, and a connecting plate 3 to which one end B" of the belt is attached in use. The fastening element 2 as three wings 21, 22 and 23 which engage transverse slots 31, 32 and 33 respectively in the plate 3. In use, the free end B' of the belt B is threaded into the space between element 2 and the top plate of the body 1. When the belt is tight the tension in it tends to move the plate 3 away from the body 1 and to pivot the fastening element 2 thus bringing the teeth 2a on wing 21 into contact with the belt and so to hold it. |
