PURPOSE:To prevent the sudden change of an output torque by a method wherein the ignition timing is delayed once and is advanced gradually when an air conditioner switch is put ON and idle-up operation is effected under a condition that the driving force of an engine is being transmitted to wheels upon idling. CONSTITUTION:When an electronic control circuit 20 has detected that the engine is in an idling condition in case the ignition timing of the internal-combustion engine 1 for vehicle is controlled by the same circuit 20, the operating condition of the air conditioner is inputted to detect whether the air conditioner switch is being put ON or not. When it is detected that the air conditioner switch is being put ON, the ignition timing is delayed once in case the driving force of the engine is being transmitted to the wheels of the vehicle. Thereafter, the spark angle is advanced gradually to a required spark timing. According to this method, the output torque of the engine is increased smoothly and the sudden flying-out or accelerating shock of the vehicle may be prevented. |
