PURPOSE:To make smooth the discharge of a corrugated cardboard casing positioned at the terminal end of a conveyor for continuously conveying cardboard casings, by providing, at the terminal end of the conveyor, a braking member for pushing back a corrugated cardboard casing positioned at the terminal end of the conveyor to obtain a gap between the casing at the terminal end and the subsequent casing. CONSTITUTION:Link rods 14 are pivotally attached to a conveyor frame 13 at two positions longitudinally spaced on one side of the terminal end section of a conveyor 2, and the braking member 4 is attached, at two positions longitudinally spaced, pivotally to the front ends of the link rods 14. Further, one of the link rods may be rotated by means of an air cylinder 15 which may be associated with a photoelectric tube 10. When the frontmost corrugated cardboard casing 1 reaches a position above receiving rods 7, the casing 1 is detected by the photoelectric tube 10, and as well the air cylinder 15 displaces the braking member 4 inward and rearward. Therefore, the subsequent corrugated cardboard casing 3 is pushed back to obtain a gap between itself and the preceding corrugated cardboard 1. Accordingly, the preceding casing 1 smoothly drops downward in association with the descending of the receiving rod 7. |
